Alaçatı Marina
Since 1993, the fishing-harbour family room that defined Port Alaçatı before the marina arrived around it
Michelin Guide-listed family osteria a few streets from the castle, serving day-boat fish and meze without the marina markup
Çark is tucked into a side street of central Çeşme, a few minutes from the castle and the harbour. The Michelin Guide entry calls it a family-run Turkish osteria; in practice it is a small, sharp seafood room serving fish straight off the lunchtime boat in deliberately simple preparations — grilled levrek, calamari, a tight meze list, mezeci-style cold dishes that change with the morning's market. The room is unshowy and ranks number one in town on most diner lists for a reason: the produce, the cooking and the price discipline all line up.
Ask what came off the boat that lunchtime and order it whole, grilled. The cold meze tray is the better lead-in than the warm side. Walking distance from the castle — start with a tour, end here.
