Opened in 2013 by Valeria Armanni and Francesco Tancredi, Ugo feels like a century-old Parisian salon - floral wallpaper, candelabras, faux taxidermy - hidden a few steps from the canal. The drinks are imaginative and technically assured (the celery-and-liquorice Trique is a signature), backed by a strong small-producer natural-wine list and a real kitchen. A craft room with genuine personality.
