Isarvorstadt runs from the Hauptbahnhof south to the Isar, with Gärtnerplatz at its heart — a hexagonal square framed by the Gärtnerplatztheater and a ring of cafés, ice-cream parlours and small kitchens. The Reichenbachstraße and Müllerstraße spines hold the chef-led casual rooms that Munich's design crowd actually books on a Wednesday. Adjacent to Glockenbach but lower-key.
