| Last reviewed: May 2026 Schmock spent years on Augustenstraße, then moved into the new Münchner Volkstheater on Tumblingerstraße in 2021 and finally has the room the cooking always deserved: high-ceilinged, stage-adjacent, designed for the post-show hour. The menu is creative Israeli with Arabic and international threads, vegan small plates, grilled octopus, slow-braised lamb shank, no pork, and the wine list runs predominantly Israeli (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay) with the depth a stage-bar needs. Open until 23:30 weekdays, midnight on Saturdays.
