Au Passage
Bastille, Charonne & Oberkampf
Half-punk, half-precise — the natural-wine small-plates bistro that rewrote the 11e in 2011.
The no-reservations rue du Nil counter from Gregory Marchand's group — natural wine and small plates
Across the cobbles from Frenchie proper, the Bar à Vins is the daily entry to Gregory Marchand's rue du Nil block — no bookings, doors at 18:30, queue forms by 18:00. The kitchen sends small plates: terrines, pasta of the week, vegetables done with the same precision as the tasting menu next door, but à la carte and a third the price. The wine list mirrors Frenchie's natural-leaning cellar, by the glass and bottle. Two Écotable macarons since January 2025. It is the most reliable rue du Nil walk-in, and the best way to read this block if you missed Frenchie's reservation window.
Arrive at 18:15. Order a few small plates and let the staff steer the wine — they know the list cold.
