Built against the ancient mound of broken amphorae of Monte dei Cocci, Flavio serves a near-textbook carbonara, cacio e pepe and tender trippa in generous portions at honest prices. The cocci wall visible through glass is a genuine archaeological setting, not a gimmick. Still rated as one of the most genuine of the Testaccio institutions in 2025-26.
