Ayinger in der Au

The first independent Wirtshaus from the family-led Ayinger brewery, opened on Mariahilfplatz in 2018 in the same complex as the small Marias Platzl hotel — copper, wood and loden in a brewery-cellar atmosphere where the beer flows from cooled wooden barrels directly into the glass. Roast pork, dumplings, organic Wiesn duck in season; the Wirtsgarten in summer sits directly on the Auer Mühlbach. The Mariahilfkirche brick neogothic spire rises across the square. From January 2026 a redesigned gourmet display case at the entrance is part of the Marias Platzl hotel-side upgrade.
