Frenchie
Greg Marchand's 2e bistro that rewrote the neo-bistro template in 2009.
Frenchie corridor + Pinault Collection + glass-roofed passages — neo-bistro origin block.
The 2e spans the Sentier garment district turned tech-and-restaurant corridor and the Bourse with its 19th-century glass-roofed passages — Galerie Vivienne, Passage des Panoramas, Passage Choiseul. This is Frenchie's home block: Greg Marchand opened on rue du Nil in 2009 and rewrote the neo-bistro template; the same street now holds Frenchie Bar à Vins, Frenchie To Go, Terroirs d'Avenir. The Bourse de Commerce — Pinault Collection (since 2021) anchors the south side. The gezgin uses the 2e for the workday lunch with proper sourcing and the wine bar that opens after the print shops close.
