Soon Grill brought serious Korean barbecue to the Marais — table-top grills, marinated short rib, pork belly, the full banchan parade and a halal menu uncommon at this register. Chef Sunghak Han trained the staff to handle each cut at the table; the ssam course (lettuce wraps with rice, sauces, fermented sides) gets explained in French and English without condescension. Listed in the Michelin Guide and on positive critic press circuits since 2017. The address most Istanbul visitors land on after asking five Paris friends where to eat Korean — the room is sleek, the service unflappable, the bill climbs if you order top cuts but the ceiling is honest.
