A hand-built olive-and-pine winter garden on the forest edge of Bornova
On İzmir's eastern edge, where Bornova meets the pine line, Pinoliva is a garden its owners built themselves: olive and pine trees, long wooden tables and lantern light over a stone-set floor. It runs year-round as a winter garden, turning out seasonal Turkish plates, a charcoal mangal and a generous weekend breakfast. It reads as a neighbourhood green room rather than a scene, the slow-lunch escape İzmirlis keep for off-coast weekends.
Ask for a table deep in the garden under the pines; the winter-garden build keeps it open through the cold months, not just summer.
Quick answers about Pinoliva Garden, reservations, hours, dress code, and price range.
