Patricia Michelson's Moxon Street shop has been London's cheese reference since 1992 — a walk-in cheese room held at 11°C with the wheels stacked floor-to-ceiling, an in-house affineur, and a small café-counter at the front for the morning espresso and the lunchtime cheese plate. The shop supplies half the city's serious tables, and the audience that follows Borough Market in the morning ends here for the afternoon bread, the cheese, the cured-meat counter, and the Burgundy by the glass.
