Moxon Street's cheese reference since 1992 — Patricia Michelson's affineur, walk-in tasting room
Seymour Place's Basque pintxos counter — the txuleta and the txakoli on the same Marylebone bar
On Seymour Place behind Marble Arch, Donostia has run since 2012 as London's most credible Basque counter — pintxos at the bar, the txuleta (aged Galician beef rib) for two as the centre of the menu, txakoli poured from height, the cider list deeper than most Spanish rooms in town. Sister to Lurra two doors down — same owners, same Asador-grill spine — and the audience that has eaten at Elkano in Getaria or Etxebarri in Axpe recognises the kitchen instantly. Marylebone's quietest serious table.
Bar pintxos for walk-ins; the txuleta needs a booking and a partner — single rib feeds two comfortably. Sister room Lurra (also Seymour Place) runs a longer carte if Donostia is full. Five minutes from Marble Arch tube.
