Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme
Saint-Honoré & Palais-Royal
Place Vendôme palace by Ed Tuttle with Michelin-starred Pur' and a contemporary art-hung corridor.
1898 Place Vendôme palace — Coco Chanel's home, Hemingway's bar, Espadon's dining room
The Ritz reopened in 2016 after a four-year restoration and the result is the Place Vendôme palace at full temperature — 71 rooms and 71 suites named for guests who actually lived there (Coco Chanel for thirty-four years, Proust, Hemingway, Fitzgerald). The Imperial Suite is a French national monument in its own right. Beyond rooms, the property runs Bar Hemingway, Bar Vendôme, Salon Proust for tea, the Espadon dining room, and the Ritz Club spa with its Roman pool. It is the most concentrated single address in Paris if your trip can support it — and the lobby tea or a martini at Hemingway gets you most of the experience for €60.
If the room rate is out of scope, book afternoon tea at Salon Proust or a 17:00 martini at Bar Hemingway — same building, fraction of the cost.
