Modern Vietnamese on rue Amelot — the 11e room that does the spring roll seven ways.
Sardinian cuisine on a quiet 11e street — Francesca Feniello's traditional bistrot, Le Fooding selection.
Francesca Feniello cooks; Silvia Giorgione runs the wines. Both are Italian — Feniello from Alghero, Giorgione from Turin — and Tempilenti's Sardinian repertoire (lemon-ricotta ravioli in sage, malloreddus, vitello tonnato done to specification) is the kind of regional Italian Paris does not otherwise have at this depth. Le Fooding selects them; Lebey covers them; Gambero Rosso lists them. For a visitor used to regional Italian eaten without negotiation, this is the only proper Sardinian table in central Paris.
Book ahead — small room, female-run kitchen and floor, regulars from the trade.
