Antica Gallura
Arzachena
Countryside Gallurese tradition built around the porceddu
Tabarchino tuna cooking from rooftop terraces since 1980
An institution since 1980 in a restructured Carloforte house, with an open kitchen and bright terraces over the rooftops. The kitchen works the Tabarchino tradition, the island's Ligurian-Tunisian-Genoese hybrid: cascà couscous, cassulli gnocchetti with tuna ragout, bobba bean soup and nose-to-tail tuna. A living archive of the local table.
Best in May and June when the tuna run; the terraces are the seats to ask for. Also in the Michelin Guide.
