On Selmani Pak Caddesi a short walk up from the Üsküdar quay, Kanaat has fed the Asian shore since 1933, still run by the founding family. You order the old way, walking the steam-table line of olive-oil vegetables, güveç and Ottoman classics, then eat in a plain, well-worn room that has changed little in decades. There is no scene and no reinvention here, only the quiet authority of a lokanta that has held the same standard across three generations.
