Le Meurice

Across rue de Rivoli from the Tuileries, Le Meurice has been receiving travellers since 1835 and earned its Palace distinction in 2011. The Dorchester Collection's Paris flagship runs to 160 rooms and suites, the upper-floor Belle Étoile suite delivering one of the city's clearest panoramas (Eiffel, Sacré-Cœur and the Louvre in one frame). Restaurant Le Meurice Alain Ducasse holds two Michelin stars under chef Amaury Bouhours; pastry chef Cédric Grolet's Le Dalí and the adjacent Pâtisserie are pilgrimage-grade. The Bar 228 keeps a fireside English-club energy, and the Valmont Spa runs hammam and treatment suites in the basement.
