Hervé Restaurant
Kifissia
Kifissia French-Greek tasting room — Hervé Pronzato's one-Michelin star.
Kifissia izakaya — yakitori counter, charcoal-grilled, one Michelin star.
Birdman opened on Levidou in Kifissia in 2018 — a sixteen-seat yakitori counter run by chef Yiorgos Tsouvelekakis after a long stint in Japan — and entered the Michelin Guide with the 2024 cycle, holding a star through 2026. The format is strict izakaya: every part of the bird grilled on Japanese binchotan charcoal, salt or tare per piece, the counter watching the cooks turn skewers for two hours. The bar program runs Japanese spirits and a tight natural-wine list. Locals use Birdman for the lower-stakes Michelin booking — Kifissia tram-ride out, easier reservation than Spondi, and the format itself is the entertainment.
Sixteen counter seats only — book three weeks ahead. Kifissia tram-end is twenty minutes from Syntagma; an Uber back at 23:30 runs about 25 EUR. Order the chef's set rather than à la carte — the kitchen calibrates pacing for the omakase format.
