Fragrances is the perfume-themed cocktail bar Arnd Henning Heissen runs at the Ritz-Carlton Berlin on Potsdamer Platz — each cocktail paired with a perfume bottle the guest selects from a wall display, the drink composed to echo the scent profile. The concept reads as a piece of theatre that the format somehow earns: Heissen's Bar Master qualification and the cocktail programme are serious in a way the perfume-pairing premise might not announce. The room sits one floor up from the hotel lobby and runs late.
