Asarlık is the half-bay between Bodrum-merkez and Bitez — the south-coast wedge that the Caresse Marriott Luxury Collection built around in the mid-2010s and that the peninsula's regulars still file under "the Bodrum-Bitez stretch" rather than naming directly. The chapter accepts the hood as the curatorial home for the Buddha-Bar Beach Bodrum franchise and the Caresse property's dining circuit: a pan-Asian-Mediterranean late shift, a hotel-rim beach the gezgin uses for a weekend rather than a season, and a position that splits the difference between the Bodrum-merkez west-of-castle marina life and Bitez's family-bay daytime ritual.
