Nihal Hanım's garden in Saip village — forty house jams, mountain-foraged herbs, breakfast cooked by the village women
Stone terrace at the gate of Erythrai antique city — the Ildırı sunset bench with takımadalar in frame
Agora sits at the very gate of the Erythrai antique site, on the upper edge of the village — a stone terrace that takes in Ildırı bay, the takımadalar, and the Sakız silhouette in one piece. The kitchen is unambitious — house-style mezes, gözleme, small grilled fish — and that's the point: the table is for the view. Where Ali'nin Yeri runs at the water with a meyhane energy, Agora reads the antique site's slow rhythm from above. Two addresses make one Ildırı day: lunch at Ali, late afternoon at Agora for the sunset, then back down to the harbour for the evening meyhane sofra.
Come for the view, not the kitchen. Late-afternoon coffee or a small meze plate; leave just before the sun drops behind the takımadalar.
