Noni's House
Ovacık
A breakfast garden among Ovacık's vines — own house wine, own jams, own menemen
Nihal Hanım's garden in Saip village — forty house jams, mountain-foraged herbs, breakfast cooked by the village women
Nihal Hanım returned to İzmir after years in finance, bought a house in Saip village, and with her husband Eşref Bey turned the garden into a kır kahvesi. The table now carries close to forty house jams — lavender, fig, raw zucchini, mountain-foraged apricot — alongside gözleme and mantı the village women cook on site, and eggs from the household chickens. In the inland core of the Karaburun peninsula, an hour's mountain drive from Çeşme; a deliberately slow breakfast stop that stretches the day. The jams travel; you order the house's lavender and mountain apricot for the kitchen at home.
Drive out from Çeşme via Mordoğan-Saip; not a standalone trip but a stop inside a Karaburun day. The lavender and the mountain-foraged apricot jams are the ones to take home.
