Bodrum Balıkçısı is the casual Turkish seafood room at Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, sitting above the resort's Blue Beach Club on the Cennet Koyu side. The kitchen runs the classic Aegean balık lokantası grammar — a refrigerated counter the guest chooses from, the catch grilled, fried or salt-baked to order, a long meze list anchored in season-driven local produce, the cellar weighted toward Turkish wines plus a meaningful rakı list. The room is consciously the Mandarin's lighter alternative to the Hakkasan-and-ROKA fine-dining bookings: the dinner the resort offers a guest who has done the brand restaurants earlier in the week and wants the bay's real cuisine without leaving the property. Service is Mandarin-standard but the format is deliberately Anatolian.
Walk the fish counter with the maitre d' rather than ordering from the menu; the salt-baked çupra is the right move for a table of four. Rakı is sold in the proper format — by the bottle with ice on the side — not by the glass. The Anatolian counterweight to Hakkasan or ROKA on the same property.
