Çakıltaşı Beach Cafe & Restaurant

Çakıltaşı is a beach-cafe-restaurant room that Halil İsenç has run for years on Gündoğan's Yalı Mevkii strip: breakfast in the morning, beach service through the day, and an evening table built on Aegean olive-oil dishes and homemade mezes. The character of the room is set by the jetty tables that spill onto the shore and the woven straw canopies; the menu is fed not by showy openings but by more than fifteen years of local-customer relationships, and pricing stays more reasonable than the more ambitious rooms on the peninsula. Sitting at the still-quiet western end of the village, it is one of the places that keeps the soft bubble of a family lunch even on August weekdays. Beach service is opened by the operator at the start of the season; swimming access from the jetty is open.
