Hacimemis
Başak Cankeş's wearable-art house, where upcycled antique textiles become one-off pieces
An architect's vintage-design concept store, sourced trunk by trunk from Europe and Morocco
Founded by Funda Arkas of FD Architecture, Rue 1387 is a curated vintage and design store tucked into the back lanes of Hacımemiş, with a quiet rear garden. The stock is collected piece by piece across England, France, Belgium, Spain and Morocco — WWII soldier trunks turned into tables, award-winning speakers, photography, and one-off RUE1387 productions. It is closer to a design archive than a shop, assembled by someone who works in interiors for a living. For design-literate visitors it is the most serious object room in the village.
