Munich's oldest ice cream parlour — Sarcletti family on Nymphenburger Straße since 1879
The Sarcletti family has been making ice cream in Munich since 1879; the Nymphenburger Straße 155 location was rebuilt in 1946 after the war and has been the family flagship since. Fifty to seventy flavours rotate by season, prepared by traditional Italian recipes without preservatives — fior di latte, pistacchio, the seasonal stone-fruit lineup that locals queue around the block for in July. Counter takeaway or table service on the retro-modern terrace; cake program for the off-season afternoons.
The Munich-Italian gelato lineage the audience won't find on a Frankfurt or Berlin trip — Sarcletti predates most of the Eis-emigration wave by half a century. Pairs with the Nymphenburg palace day or as the standalone Neuhausen detour.
