The historic Königshof was demolished in 2019 and replaced by a sharp Nieto Sobejano-designed contemporary tower that opened in June 2024 as the Luxury Collection brand's German debut. 106 rooms, the highest hotel windows in central Munich, and Greta Oto — an unusual Amazonian-cuisine signature restaurant from chef Florencia Galarza Müller — set high above Karlsplatz. The location at Stachus puts the pedestrian shopping zone, Hauptbahnhof transfers, and the Altstadt all within seven minutes on foot.
