Opened autumn 2023 in the former Bavarian State Bank headquarters and the adjoining Palais Neuhaus-Preysing — a ten-year restoration that gave Munich its first new ultra-luxury arrival in over a decade. 132 rooms and suites plus five private 'houses,' a two-floor Asaya spa with indoor pool, and CUVILLIÉS, the Alpine-inspired brasserie named for the Rococo court architect. Bar Montez does cocktails with live music in what used to be the bank's vault hall. Editorially, this is the property Istanbul friends will want to know about — the new opening that justifies a return trip.

The Palais houses are full residences — best for families of four to six who want a Munich apartment with hotel service. Asaya spa is open to non-guests by appointment if you are staying elsewhere but want a treatment day.
