Bozukbağ sits on the inland Göltürkbükü line, inside fourteen decares of twelve hundred fruit trees: citrus, pomegranate, mulberry, fig, almond. Chickens, ducks and turkeys roam the orchard; menemen comes off a wood fire; butter, cheese, jam and salça arrive from the farm. A single buffet line, long wooden tables, the unfussy interior of a real Aegean farm house — the right way to do breakfast on the still-quiet north ridge of the peninsula.
Editor's Tip
Ask for the wood-fire menemen and the goat's-milk yoghurt with the farm's fig jam. Reserve in July-August; the buffet runs out cleanly by 13:00.
