Comprehensively renovated in 2025, the upstairs warren of named themed rooms (a Hemingway room, a hunting room, a wine room) sits above the famous delicatessen at street level. Cooking is Bavarian-French at its most polished — venison, Bresse poularde, classic sauces — by people who treat the room as the city's living room. The place to take your visiting Turkish family for the dinner that says 'this is Munich at its most itself'.
