Lika Bodrum

Lika is the restaurant of Birdcage 33, the eleven-room adults-only boutique hotel on the Ömer Efendi caddesi above Yalıkavak Bay. The cooking concept the team calls karma mutfak (assorted cuisine) pulls techniques and dishes from the Mediterranean, Turkish, Persian, Greek and Ottoman repertoires onto a single seasonal card that the room rotates through the summer. The signature plates the kitchen returns to are zucchini-flower stuffed with hot cheese, calamari with hummus, charcoal-grilled shrimp and aubergine, tomato salad with the Ortakent producer-circuit anchor. The terrace holds thirty tables; the architectural detailing follows the Birdcage 33 design language of sculptural elements over the wild-olive hillside, and the breakfast-to-late grammar runs the whole arc: eight-thirty to noon for breakfast, lunch register through the afternoon, dinner card through eleven, bar shift until midnight. The sunset slot reads strongest from the western edge tables.
