Liman started as a single köfte stand on Neyzen Tevfik and grew into the marina-front address now recognisable from the queue at the door. The signature dish — the liman köfte, hand-shaped, grilled and served over warm pide with yoghurt and a small ladle of tomato sauce — has not moved in thirty-odd years. The room runs at the everyday end of the marina; the customer base is the boat crews, the taxi drivers and the local families, and the kitchen also runs a fish tezgâh and a serious mezze counter alongside the köfte.
The liman köfte over pide is the order; the fish tezgâh is real but the kitchen's reputation is the meat. Lunch is calmer than dinner; the marina-side seats fill from 13:00.
