Akbalık Restaurant
Gündoğan
Gündoğan's seaside fish house, run by Chef Ali Akbalık and the village's first reference for two decades
Mehmet and Tülin Çuhadar's seafood room at Milta Marina; Bodrum's reference fish house since the early 2000s
Mehmet Çuhadar started Memedof at Gölköy in 2001 and brought the kitchen into the Milta Marina the following year; the Bodrum room has been the family's reference address since. The format is straightforward: fresh fish from the morning auction, a long Aegean meze list pulled from the cold tray, a wooden deck over the marina water and a small indoor room for the shoulder season. Gault&Millau Türkiye holds the room on its annual selection and the local fishing crews still drink at the bar after they've sold the catch.
Ask for a marina-deck table; the inside room is for winter. Order from the cold meze tray first and let the kitchen decide the fish. The dry-fennel salad and the grilled octopus are the long-standing house signatures.
