Established in 1939, Balat Sahil Restoran overlooks the calm waters of the Golden Horn with small fishermen boats crossing the waterway. What makes this place special are its unique mezes - foraged mushrooms from Kastamonu's northern forests, perfect lakerda (salt-cured bonito), and caramelized onion dolma. Climb four floors to the terrace for the best panorama while enjoying some of Istanbul's most distinctive meyhane fare.
