Founded in 1999 by an Anatolian family that moved south via Istanbul, Otantik runs the only ocakbaşı on the peninsula that takes meat as seriously as Istanbul's Köşebaşı tier — a long charcoal grill, dry-aged ribeye and lamb chops cut to order, kebabs built on the day's mince. Atatürk Caddesi address, Michelin Bib Gourmand 2024-2026, year-round. The closest Bodrum has to a credible steakhouse without the spectacle.
Sit at the ocakbaşı counter, order the dry-aged kuzu pirzola and a kebab to share, and let them bring the cold mezze unprompted. The dining room behind is fine but the counter is the point.
