Au cœur de Sultanahmet se trouve The Sarnic, un lieu de restauration hors du commun, au sein d'une citerne byzantine de 1 500 ans bâtie en 542 sous le règne de l'empereur Justinien Ier. Conçu à l'origine pour alimenter le Grand Palais en eau, ce monument de l'ingénierie romaine antique accueille aujourd'hui des dîners intimes à la bougie, accompagnés de piano en live. La carte réinvente avec élégance la cuisine ottomane et byzantine, servie sous six piliers antiques et un plafond voûté éclairé de lustres en fer forgé.
